Recap for 11/10/09:

Below is the powerpoint we went over, which describes  GWB’s objective, a sample itinerary during the trip, important dates and, lastly, committee overviews. Keep in mind that everyone needs to join a committee for the 2nd general meeting.

Vaccinations & Passport: Don’t forget to renew your passport if you are a U.S. citizen. For non-U.S. citizens, you will need a visa to travel to Honduras – please contact haejin@globalbrigades.org to get the necessary documentation. Also check out the Tang Center and get your vaccinations early. Here is the link to the international travel clinic: http://www.uhs.berkeley.edu/students/medical/travel.shtml.

Potluck! We will be having a potluck for the 2nd general meeting (Nov. 19) so please bring your favorite dish and get ready to party. Do NOT bring junk food! =)

If you have any questions, feel free to email me or Andrew and Haejin.

GWB Info-Session on Oct. 22!

GWB infosession flyer

Hello to all the prospective volunteers out there!

We were so excited to meet so many students at the Global Service Fair who were passionate about solving the water crisis and

were interested in joining GWB. Sorry for the long wait. We had to push back the date of the info-session due to room reservation issues. But, as we promised, GWB will hold its info-session on Thursday, Oct. 22. It will be in 206 Dwinelle at 7 pm. We will be going over program details, costs and deadlines, and will answer any questions that you may have. We will also have short presentations from past volunteers who went on the trip. Please don’t hesitate to bring your friends. Hope to see you soon!
